The City of Sarnia has retained Stantec Consulting Ltd. to undertake a Servicing Study to consider water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation servicing within Development Area 2. Development Area 2 is one of two major growth areas within the City of Sarnia. It is located along the eastern City limits, and is bounded by Highway 40 to the west, Blackwell Sideroad to the east, London Line to the north, and the Light Industrial land use designations south of Confederation Line.

The study is being undertaken to identify the infrastructure servicing needs (water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation), recommended phasing plan, infrastructure cost estimates, and a recommended approach to cost sharing that will be required to support growth and development within Development Area 2. An open house Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held onĀ Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at City Hall (255 Christina Street N) to present the recommended servicing strategy, including infrastructure cost estimates, phasing plan, and approach to cost sharing.
